A-1 STAFFING was founded in January, 1998 in Shawnee Mission, KS.  From the very inception of the company, our intention has always been to grow quickly so we could locate a staffing branch or recruiting office within 15-20 minutes maximum of any applicant or potential client in the Greater Kansas City Area.  For that reason, the company has grown annually through both new customers and competitor acquisitions.  The Shawnee Mission location subsequently moved to Overland Park, KS where we have kept our office since September, 1999.  Additional growth, both internal and organic, has happened as follows:

• May, 1999 - We acquired HR Staffing in Independence, MO.
• June, 1999 - We acquired Excess Personnel Services in Kansas City, KS.
• Labor Day, 1999 - We opened our Kansas City North branch and we are still located on N. Oak Trafficway.
• May, 2005 - We opened a satellite office in Emporia, KS.
• April, 2007 - We acquired Professional Resources, Inc. with branch offices in Omaha & Nebraska City, NE and Des Moines & Red Oak, IA.
• July, 2008. We opened a location in Denver, CO.
